Frequently asked questions

knowing your pulse

How much battery does Pulse use?

PULSE uses advanced algorithms to ensure that power consumption is kept to a minimum when your vehicle is not in use.

PULSE also features an on-board backup battery which provides enough power for continuous monitoring for several days even when the vehicle’s battery is low or disconnected.

What data does Pulse collect?

PULSE collects and analyses various data points from your vehicle, depending on your setup.

For motorcycles, PULSE records GPS location, battery level and speed, and a variety of other metrics if a link with the CAN bus can be established (e.g. engine temperature, RPM, throttle position etc..).

When an OBD-II connector is available, PULSE can also record additional information such as air temperature and fuel consumption, and record diagnostic information and alerts generated by your vehicle’s Electronic Control Unit.

Is Pulse compatible with my motorbike or car?

PULSE can be connected to any vehicle by simply tapping into appropriate fuses. As a minimum, PULSE can monitor a GPS location, battery level and speed.

Depending on models, if your vehicle also provides a CAN/OBD-II connector (available in all cars and vans), PULSE can also monitor additional data points such as RPM, engine temperature, fuel consumption etc.

How much does it cost?

Prices will be announced in the coming weeks once PULSE goes into production.

What happens if someone tries to steal my vehicle?

Once connected and set up, PULSE will constantly monitor your vehicle. Any unexpected movements or tampering with the device will trigger an immediate phone call and SMS to the registered owner. If a theft is confirmed, PULSE will keep tracking the vehicle, providing you with real-time information about its last known location.
